Patrick Cote is coming home.
UFC officials announced on Friday that the Quebec-native Cote will meet Alessio Sakara at UFC 154 on Nov. 17, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The middleweight fight will mark Cote’s 12th in the province of Quebec in his 26-fight career.
UFC 154, which is expected to be headlined by Georges St-Pierre vs. Carlos Condit for the undisputed welterweight title, will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Cote (17-8) returned to the UFC in July after going 4-0 outside the organization over the past year and a half. Unfortunately for “The Predator,” he lost a unanimous decision to Cung Le at UFC 148.
Sakara (15-9, 1 NC) was most recently knocked out by Brian Stann in the first round at UFC on FUEL TV 2 in April. The Italian veteran heads into UFC 154 stuck in a two-fight losing streak.
