British striker Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley (27-11-2) was just announced for the BAMMA 7 card on September 10, has now been added as the headliner for an upcoming Ringside 12 event in October.
The Montreal based Ringside MMA promotion made the announcement on Monday, pitting Daley against former UFC vet Luigi “The Italian Tank” Fioravanti (22-10) in the main event.
The Ringside 12 event is scheduled to take place on October 21 in Montreal, Quebec giving Daley just over a months time to prepare proceeding the BAMMA 7 show.
Daley has lost his last two fights, losing a unanimous decision to Tyron Woodley on July 30 at the Fedor vs. Henderson event in his last match. The other loss, a likely candidate for Fight of the Year, was to Nick Diaz in April for the Strikeforce title. Diaz would earn a TKO victory with three seconds left in the round, ending a four fight win streak.
Fioravanti has also dropped two straight after winning five straight, hasn’t seen the inside of the Octagon since 2009. He has bounced around with several organizations and most recently lost a unanimous decision to Joe Doerksen this past June at a Score Fighting Series event.
