Veteran welterweight power puncher Paul Daley will throw hands against Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) import and former title contender Rory MacDonald in the Bellator 179 five-round main event, locked and loaded for this Friday night (May 19, 2017) inside SSE Arena in London, England, on Spike TV.

Daley (39-14-2), who’s racked up violent finishes in just about every mixed martial arts (MMA) organization ever created, has more wins by knockout (29) than most pro fighters have in total fights.

“Semtex” was last seen stiffening Brennan Ward at Bellator 170.

MacDonald (18-4) failed to come to terms on a new deal with UFC after back-to-back losses to Robbie Lawler and Stephen Thompson. “Red King” is still widely-considered one of the top welterweights in the world, boasting wins over UFC champ Tyron Woodley and top contender Demian Maia.

Safe to say he’s not amused by his opponent’s threats.

Watch them face off at the Bellator 179 press conference held earlier today, also featuring light heavyweights Liam McGeary and Linton Vassell, in the embedded video players above and below.
