Professional Fighters League (PFL) offered Nate Diaz $15 million to fight Jake Paul under mixed martial arts (MMA) rules, giving the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight an opportunity to avenge his loss to “The Problem Child” in the “sweet science.”
Diaz turned it down.
Probably because Diaz had other offers on the table, like a pay-per-view (PPV) boxing match against fellow UFC export Jorge Masvidal. Unfortunately, his victory over “Gamebred” left him underpaid by a whopping $9 million, according to a lawsuit filed by Diaz earlier this week in Miami.
“Guess that $15 million from PFL needs to be taken a little more seriously you dummy,” Paul wrote on Twitter. “Yesterday’s price is not today’s price. Oh and Masvidal you broke and can’t sell shit.”
PFL is where Diaz belongs, according to this former UFC champ.
Paul is expected to make his PFL debut at some point in 2025. Until then, “The Problem Child” will need to defeat former UFC welterweight Mike Perry in their boxing bonanza this weekend in Tampa (order it here). A victory over “Platinum” is expected to send Paul into a Mike Tyson showdown this November on Netflix.
