Paul Felder’s agent Brian Butler-Au updated everyone on the wellbeing of his client earlier today via social media.
Last the fans knew Felder was still in a Phoenix-area hospital recovering from surgery from injuries he received in his fight with James Vick at UFC on ESPN 1 last Sunday (Feb. 17, 2019) night.
Well the MMA universe can breathe a collective sigh of relief because “The Irish Dragon” appears to be well on the road to recovery as an Instagram post by Butler-Au shows Felder in good spirits.

Update: @felderpaul is a healing up well and in good spirits after his surgery and hoping to be discharged tomorrow, however he won’t be allowed to fly home until Wednesday. The @ufc has graciously flown his family out to be with him and they will arrive tomorrow. Paul wants to thank everyone for their thoughts and concern and a special thank you to UFC medical staff member Kelly Paul for being there, bringing him junk food and making him a middleweight. * this photo was taken just now from my FaceTime with him. #irishdragon #represented
Though Felder took home a unanimous decision victory over Vick last weekend he know doubt suffered some serious physical consequences. With a budding commentating career and being more than capable of breaking down fights, it begs the question – how much longer does Felder want to subject himself to the rigors of cage fighting?
