Conor McGregor went from “final boss” … to just some guy on the sauce.
YouTube star Jake Paul has beaten four UFC veterans over the last three years. “Notorious” has beaten zero during that same time frame. After getting knocked out by Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 in early 2021, McGregor went on to break his leg in their UFC 264 rematch.
The Irish multimillionaire has since remained inactive, partly due to his issues with USADA.
Paul, 26, would still be willing to entertain a fight against McGregor, despite switching places with “Notorious” on the list of combat sports superstars. In fact, we still don’t know when the former UFC two-division champion, now 35, will make his Octagon return.
As for Paul, he fights Andre August on DAZN this Friday night in Orlando.
“Pretty freaking massive, and entertaining, and fun,” Paul told his YouTube fans about a potential McGregor fight. “I would beat his a**. He won’t fight me. At this point, it’s funny how it went from me calling him out, to that seeming crazy, to now me being bigger in the sport than he is. And him knowing my skill level is greater than his in such a short amount of time. Life is crazy.”
So is McGregor, depending on who you ask.
