Paul is currently dating Olympic silver medalist Jutta Leerdam, who knows more than a little about how life long athletes maintain their skill levels.
Jake Paul’s girlfriend is not sounding super confident in her boyfriend’s chances against Mike Tyson when the two of them duke it out on Netflix next Friday, November 15th.
Much has been said about Tyson’s age compared to Paul’s, and Jake’s history of beating up over-the-hill MMA fighters. But it’s worth noting “The Problem Child” struggled the second he fought a halfway decent boxer in Tommy Fury. Mike Tyson is more than a halfway decent boxer.
In a new video on Jake Paul’s YouTube channel, his speed skater girlfriend Jutta Leerdam gave her thoughts from the perspective of someone who won a silver medal for Holland in the 2022 Olympics.
“I think you’re gonna win, but, he’s the competitor that is the most scary to me,” Leerdam told Paul. “Yeah, he’s scary.”
“He’s just scary. He’s super strong, and I’ve seen videos of him. Of course he’s a little bit older now, but if you’ve ever been able to do that, your body remembers that. He has that power forever.”
Everyone talks about the advantages of Jake’s youth. But Jutta touched on the disadvantage.
“One thing about Jake is he’s been doing this for, like, 5 years … I think that is worse,” she said.
“I think that is worse than being, like, almost 60 and having your whole life [boxing]. You’re used to that power. You’ve trained so much. Your body will remember that. He’s had so many years of training.”
“Jake didn’t even train like 5 years ago. He didn’t do anything. He was partying. So that’s not even comparable.”
Ouch.

“If someone started a few years ago with speed skating, they couldn’t even participate in the world championships,” Leerdam added. “Like, that’s not even possible. So what Jake is doing is already crazy.”
Jake isn’t trying to compete in the world championships. What he’s doing would be like rounding up skaters from the 2008 world championships and racing them. Also, all these athletes had their legs beaten with bats for several years, and they had six months to train for a sprint against Paul instead of a skate.
That would be the equivalent of what Jake has done in his boxing career up to this point. This time the YouYuber turned boxer is actually skating against a skater, and his record shows things haven’t been so easy for him when he does that.
