Paul’s mother was not happy that Tyson took a shot at her son, and she used some pretty explicit language to convey her disapproval.

As if the world wasn’t already wound up enough by the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson spectacle coming our way tonight (Fri. Nov. 15th, 2024) on Netflix, we now have ‘the slap’ to contend with.

Tyson topped off the ceremonial weigh-ins last night by hitting Paul with a massive right palm after “The Problem Child” rolled into a staredown and accidentally stepped on the boxing legend’s foot. That set “Iron Mike” off, and he uncorked a pretty serious open hand blow that snapped Paul’s head to the side.

“I was in my socks, and he had on shoes,” Tyson explained later. “He stepped on my toe because he’s a f—ing a—hole. I wanted to think it happened by accident, but now I think it may have happened on purpose. I was in a lot of pain. I had to reciprocate.”

Paul played it off as no big deal, but there was one member of the family who was not happy with what happened: Jake’s mom Pam Stepnick. Video of Stepnick shortly after the weigh-ins show her hugging her son and threatening violence on Mike for his behavior.

“I’m gonna kill Mike Tyson for you,” she said with a laugh. “F—ing little b—h!”

“You slap harder than him,” Paul said.

The circus is definitely in full tilt now as the 58-year-old Tyson will try to keep that energy against 27-year-old Paul across eight two-minute rounds. This is a fully licensed fight with knockouts, so anything could happen when the opening bell rings tonight. We’ll be there to cover it all, so stay tuned.
