The officials payouts for UFC 249 were recently released by Florida State Boxing Commission for those fighters competing at the UFC 249: “Ferguson vs. Gaethje” pay-per-view (PPV) event, held last Sat. night (May 9, 2020) inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
Tony Ferguson was the top earner of the night, pulling in $500,000 for his technical knockout loss to Justin Gaethje in the five-round main event. “The Highlight” took home a cool $350,000 for his upset victory in the “Sunshine State.”
Bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo, who claims he’s retiring from MMA, also banked $350,000 for his finish over Dominick Cruz ($300,000). Perhaps “Triple C” wants to be paid as much as the rest of his championship brethren and to be honest, I don’t blame him.
