The next TUF Finale will get an intriguing fight at 135 pounds.
The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale on November 30th has its first fight, and that bout will take place in the bantamweight division. The Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that Pedro Munhoz will take on Bryan Caraway in the Pearl Theater at the Palms.
Munhoz (16-3, 1 NC, 6-2, 1 NC UFC) is coming off an exciting win over Brett Johns at UFC 227 earlier this month. The 31-year old has won five out of his last six overall, with his only defeat coming via split decision to John Dodson in March.
Caraway (21-8, 6-3 UFC) returned from a two-year layoff in March, dropping a split decision to Cody Stamann. The veteran staple was removed from the bantamweight rankings for some reason in July, where he had been sitting in the number nine spot. Munhoz assumed that spot when he was taken out, and remains there now.
TUF 28 debuts on FS1 on August 29th, and will feature heavyweights and women’s featherweight contestants. The coaches are UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and former TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum.
