A very fun Featherweight fight is going down in May.
MMAmania.com confirmed with multiple sources today (Tues., Feb 4, 2025) that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Trevor Peek will be dropping to Featherweight and is set to clash with Korean fighter Jeong Yeong Lee on May 3, 2025.
No official venue or location has been announced for the UFC’s May 3 ‘Fight Night’; however, sources have confirmed the event will take place inside the Wells Fargo Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
After five UFC fights at Lightweight, Peek (9-3) will drop to Featherweight. The 30-year-old all-action fighter is riding the first losing streak of his career, dropping his last two fights via unanimous decision – making his current UFC record 2-3.
Peek was successful in his UFC debut in 2023, knocking out Erick Gonzalez (watch highlights) and receiving a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus. In his next outing, he went to war with Chepe Mariscal, losing a unanimous decision and somehow missing out on ‘Fight of the Night.’
Lee (11-2) suffered his first UFC loss in his last outing when he was clobbered with a crazy 38-punch combo by Hyder Amil (watch highlights).
“The Korean Tiger” is 2-1 inside the Octagon, Road to UFC Season 1 Featherweight tournament winner, and had five first-round finishes in under a minute.
