Drakkar Klose will look to get back into the win column at UFC Vegas 19 on February 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada after having his three-fight win streak snapped by Beneil Dariush at UFC 248. But he won’t be doing it against Jai Herbert.
That’s because Herbert has been forced out of the Lightweight matchup for undisclosed reasons. That’s according to MMA Fighting, who also reported that Luis Pena will step in to take the fight on a little over a week’s notice.
Pena hasn’t competed since June of 2020 where he suffered third round submission loss to Khama Worthy, his second defeat in three outings inside the world-famous Octagon. “Violent Bob Ross” has had an up and down career inside the Octagon since winning season 27 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) earning a 4-3 record so far. A win over Klose, who is 5-2 thus far under the UFC umbrella will go a long way in bumping up his stock.
UFC Vegas 19 will feature a much-anticipated Heavyweight matchup between former title contender, Derrick Lewis, and wrestling powerhouse Curtis Blaydes. Also on the card, Andrei Arlovski takes on Tom Aspinall while Chris Daukaus battles Aleksei Oleinik in 265-pound action.
