When you talk as mush trash as top-ranked welterweight contender, Colby Covington, it’s probably hard to remember how many people you’ve pissed off along the way, so there’s an outside chance “Chaos” forgot about these comments.

Trash talk is like contract killing … no women, no kids.

But Covington doesn’t play by the rules and has most of the combat sports universe rooting for his demise. That includes fellow welterweight Mike Perry, who may be compelled to start a backstage brawl at UFC 245 next month in Las Vegas.

“I’m going to give Covington a problem all week long,” Perry said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show. “Lets see if he’s thinking about the right things when he gets in the ring. I hope he hears about this, and if he catches sight of me, it’s on sight. I won’t be looking for him – I’ll be looking to do my own thing – but if I catch a glimpse, you know, I might sneak over. Maybe he’s looking for clout because he can’t get none with that crotch-sniffing style.”

Perry will be fighting rising welterweight prospect Geoff Neal at UFC 245, going down Dec. 14 inside T-Mobile Arena, on the same card that features Covington’s battle against division champion Kamaru Usman, contested for the “Nigerian Nightmare’s” 170-pound strap.

Covington is no stranger to backstage altercations, or buffet brawls for that matter. Heck, seems like everywhere “Chaos” goes there is someone looking for some kind of street justice. Let’s just hope he never shows his face at San Diego Comic Con.
