Mike Perry and Mickey Gall have been bickering at one another for nearly two years now, and it seems the time to let the fists do the talking is finally coming. According to MMA Fighting, the two Welterweights are in line to fight at the upcoming UFC on ESPN 10 event on June 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Perry has had a rough stretch as of late, losing two in a row, a split-decision loss to Vicente Luque and a knockout loss to Geoff Neal last December at UFC 245. For a moment there, it seemed as if a fight against Darren Till was on deck, but the promotion decided to go in another route after “Gorilla” was re-booked against Robert Whittaker.
All my opponents have been top tier for the past 3 years. The best welterweights out there. So I’ve struggled a bit. To have a weak ass opponent like @mickeygall for a real paycheck is a dream come true. Lol thanks @ufc

Gall, meanwhile, hasn’t competed in 10 months, defeating Salim Touah via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 5. He was in line to return to action against Carlos Condit last December, but after “The Natural born Killer” was forced out with a detached retina, Gall had to go back to the pine. He was then in line to face Alex Oliveira in February, but that fight was canceled, as well.
While not yet official, Dan Hooker and Dustin Poirier are expected to headline the card, which will go down inside UFC’s APEX facility. Also, Gian Villante is expected to fight Maurice Greene, while Aspen Ladd will tango with Sara McMann.
