Vicente Luque will look for his sixth win in a row in Uruguay.
Mike Perry will look to build on a big win over Alex Oliveira when he heads down to Uruguay to meet Vicente Luque. The UFC announced that the two men will meet in the co-main event of the promotion’s debut in the country’s capital city, Montevideo, on August 10th.
Perry (13-4, 6-4 UFC) defeated Oliveira via decision back in April, and picked up a performance bonus for his efforts. The bonus check was Perry’s third in the UFC.
Luque (16-6-1, 9-2 UFC) has won five bouts in a row, and has finished every one of those wins before the final horn. He is currently ranked at 15 in the official UFC rankings. His only loss in the last four years came at the hands of Leon Edwards, who took a decision over him in early 2017.
UFC Uruguay, or UFC on ESPN+ 14, goes down in the Antel Arena and will be headlined by a women’s flyweight title fight between champion Valentina Shevchenko and challenger Liz Carmouche.
