A few weeks ago, Colby Covington predicted that Mike Perry’s days competing inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon were numbered, suggesting that if “Platinum” were to come up short against Alex Oliveira he’d be sent down to the regional circuit.
That’s because Mike was just 1-3 in his last four bouts going into the the co-headlining fight of UFC Fight Night 150, which went down last Saturday night (April 27, 2019) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. But after “Platinum” earned a unanimous decision win and an extra $50,000 for “Fight of the Night,” he had plenty to say in rebuttal to “Chaos.”
Warning: You may want to go ahead and take the kids out of the room or put ear muffs on them right bout now.
“Fuck him, he can suck my dick. Fuck that bitch, I will fuck him in his fucking skull. Screw that motherfucker. I don’t give a fuck about him or his life. I will rip his head from his neck,” said an irate Perry on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show.
Colby and Perry have a longstanding beef stemming for Covington’s insulting comments to the woman who is now his wife. And though it’s been a minute since they exchanged Twitter words, Mike says there isn’t anything “Chaos” will do to him inside the cage.
“What’s he going to do, lean on me? You can’t lean on me hard enough, you ain’t no truck. I will hit you if you are that close to me. I will poke you in the eyes. The ref better be watching. I just don’t care, I sure don’t.”
Unfortunately, the two 170 pounders are so far apart in the rankings system (Covington No. 2, Perry not ranked) that the chances of seeing them bang it out in a sanctioned fight under the UFC banner likely won’t ever happen.
Let’s just hope these two men don’t run into each other in a buffet line … or a local Walmart.
