Another between two of the best light heavyweights in the world has been added to UFC on FOX 14.
Phil Davis vs. Ryan Bader will take place on the Jan. 24 card, set for the 30,000-seat Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, the promotion announced Friday.
Most recently, Davis (13-2, 1 NC) defeated Glover Teixeira via unanimous decision last month at UFC 179, while Bader, a winner in his last three fights, scored a dominant unanimous decision win over Ovince St. Preux in August.
“I’m going out to get this win and that is exactly what is going to happen” Bader stated in a press release. “Phil is a great fighter and a win against him will keep my momentum going in 2015.
“I’m excited to fight in front of the passionate fans of Sweden” Bader continues. “The fans there are amazing, I can’t imagine how electric the stadium will be. I’ll be looking forward to feeding off of the crowd and putting on a good show for these fans.”
Already announced for the UFC on FOX 14 main card, which will air live in primetime on FOX in the United States, is a light-heavyweight No. 1 contender fight between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson as the main event and Dan Henderson vs. Gegard Mousasi in middleweight action.
