Check out Alistair Overeem almost two weeks after his devastating KO loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC on ESPN 7.
Alistair Overeem has healed up tremendously well since his devastating knockout loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC on ESPN 7, where ‘Bigi Boy’ split ‘The Reem’s’ lip in half after landing an overhand right with just four seconds to go in the final round.
It was one of the most gruesome-looking injuries in MMA history, but after just two weeks, Overeem’s lip looks almost brand new.
The UFC released a recent photo of Overeem at a media event in Busan, South Korea, where ‘The Demolition Man’ fielded questions from reporters ahead of UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs. Korean Zombie on Saturday.
Check it out below.

There’s also a video of Overeem immediately after surgery, which you can watch courtesy of ESPN MMA.
Overeem was hoping a win over Rozenstruik would set up a possible title fight against the winner of Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier III, but after losing via fifth-round KO, it’s back to the drawing board for the Dutchman.
The combat sports veteran and multiple-promotion world champion said prior to the UFC on ESPN 7 main event that he would not be retiring until he captures the UFC heavyweight title and etches his name into the history books as one of the most accomplished fighters of all time.
Overeem is currently ranked No. 8 in the official UFC heavyweight rankings.
