Brian Ortega shows off his insane recovery from UFC 231.
Brian Ortega was beaten to a bloody pulp at UFC 231, but if looks are anything to go by, ‘T-City’ could already be fully healed.
Just one week after taking a record-breaking 290 significant strikes from reigning UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway, Ortega’s face has already recovered from the beating.
Ortega posted a selfie on Instagram one week after UFC 231, and the 27-year-old is looking fresh. In fact, it’s hard to tell if Ortega even fought in last week’s main event, judging by the picture.
This is what happened to Ortega at UFC 231, where doctors were forced to intervene and stop the fight after the fourth round.

Despite taking an epic beating against Holloway, Ortega showed lots of heart and won over the fans at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena with his gutsy performance.
Ortega is still one of the brightest prospects at 145-pounds and, judging by his recovery, the Californian could return to the Octagon a lot sooner than expected. UFC 231 marked the first professional loss of his career.
