It would seem Conor McGregor is taking his move to welterweight very seriously, as the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion looks to have gained a considerable amount of muscle mass ahead of his headlining bout with Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC 246 next month.

Twitter user ‘MysticMacMMA’ recently posted photos of McGregor ahead of the Cerrone fight, and I think it’s safe to say ‘The Notorious’ is looking bigger than ever before.

McGregor previously fought at welterweight against Nate Diaz back in 2016, losing the first bout via submission but winning the rematch at UFC 202 via majority decision, with both men earning a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus for participating in one of the best fights of the year.

Since then McGregor has won the lightweight title, been stripped of the lightweight title, fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the boxing ring and challenged Khabib Nurmagomedov for the belt at UFC 229. ‘The Eagle’ submitted McGregor in the fourth round to retain his lightweight title.

UFC 246: McGregor vs. Cerrone will take place next month, Jan. 18 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
