Conor McGregor received a nice cash bonus for his stunning performance against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.
$50,000 is probably pocket change for Conor McGregor, but the UFC megastar couldn’t help but gloat about the $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus he received, in cash, by Dana White and former UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta at a celebratory post-fight toast in Las Vegas following his big win over Donald Cerrone last weekend.
“Happy National Irish coffee day everyone! Check out @properwhiskey for our recipe of this incredible drink. What a combination,” McGregor posted on Instagram earlier this week.
McGregor received the bonus for his scintillating performance against Cerrone at UFC 246, where ‘The Notorious’ outclassed ‘Cowboy’ enroute to a technical knockout victory at 0:40 of the first round.
McGregor is expected to return to the Octagon in March or April but the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion hasn’t revealed an opponent. Bookmakers list Jorge Masvidal as the most likely match-up for McGregor, but top-five UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje believes he is currently McGregor’s No. 1 target.
