With just four weeks to go until UFC 257, Ultimate Fighting Championship is ramping up the hype for the headliner between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, which will take place on Jan. 23 at the UFC Fight Island facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The UFC released the official poster for the matchup on Wednesday, teasing of an epic showdown between the two lightweight fighters.

“OFFICIAL: Your Poirier-McGregor 2 poster has landed,” the Tweet read.
Poirier and McGregor previously fought in a featherweight matchup back in September 2014 at UFC 178, which saw ‘The Notorious’ TKO ‘The Diamond’ in the first round. McGregor has since gone on to capture two world titles and fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match, while Poirier has made a name for himself at lightweight and rattled off wins against Justin Gaethje, Eddie Alvarez and Anthony Pettis as well as capture the interim lightweight title with a win over Max Holloway at UFC 236.
Poirier last fought at UFC Vegas 4 where he beat Dan Hooker in a five-round, Fight of the Night epic while McGregor hasn’t fought since his stunning 40-second TKO of Donald Cerrone at UFC 246. Their rematch at UFC 257 promises to be one of the biggest fights of the year.
