Colby Covington claims his jaw was completely in tact after his UFC 245 fight with UFC champion Kamaru Usman.

Colby Covington says the only thing that needed fixing in the aftermath of his UFC 245 clash with Kamaru Usman is some poor sucker’s Photoshop skills.

A thrilling grudge match pitting Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion Usman vs. Covington headlined UFC 245 on Dec. 14, 2019. Reports came out after the fight that Covington, who lost via fifth-round technical knockdown (TKO), suffered a broken jaw (watch highlights here). “Chaos”, in a recent interview, vehemently rejected the possibility that his jaw snapped.

“It was one of the worst Photoshops — let me say — in the history of this sport,” Covington told ESPN. “Someone went and took an image off Google. They put my name on it, ‘Colby Covington.’ And first off, if you ever see an X-ray film, it never will read your name straight across. It’ll look backwards. They Photoshopped the image. The front tooth had a cap on it. Do I have caps on my front teeth? I don’t think so.

“So it was just a bad Photoshop and that’s just the trolls. The people that hate me the most because they hate my success. They hate that I’m in this position. They hate that I’m doing better in life than them, so they want to try and discredit me and they want to downplay my accomplishments. The media ran with it.”

Usman vs. Covington 2 headlines UFC 268, taking place inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on Sat., Nov. 6 via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). Other big fights on the card include UFC Women’s Strawweight champion Rose Namajunas vs. Zhang Weili, Justin Gaethje vs. Michael Chandler, Frankie Edgar vs. Marlon Vera, and Al Iaquinta vs. Bobby Green.
