The opening round matches for Bellator MMA’s Welterweight Grand Prix have finally been revealed.
Things kick off on Sept. 29, 2018, at Bellator 206 exclusively on DAZN (programming-related details here). In a trilogy fight between two former world champions, hard-hitting fighters Douglas Lima (29-7) and Andrey Koreshkov (21-2) collide in a fight that is sure to keep the fires of their rivalry burning brighter than ever.
Three additional bouts have been revealed that will take places at dates and venues yet to be determined. United Kingdom rivals will finally settle their war of words with their hands (and feet) as Paul “Semtex” Daley (40-16-2) meets Michael “Venom” Page (13-0). In addition, undefeated Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Neiman Gracie (8-0) will face dominating wrestler Ed Ruth (6-0), while current champion Rory MacDonald (20-4) will face former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) champion Jon Fitch (31-7-1, 1 NC).
One additional bout will pit Lorenz Larkin (19-7, 1 NC) against the unbeaten Yaroslav Amosov (20-0) as a tournament alternate should any of the winning fighters above be unable to advance because of injuries.
