No one cared who I was until I put on the mask…
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight kingpin Conor McGregor kicked off the road to UFC 200 on Weds. (April 6, 2016), strapping on one of those suffocating training masks to help improve his conditioning. He’ll need it — as well as better submission defense — when he rematches Nate Diaz this summer.
They’ll run it back on Sat., July 9, inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor is trying to rebound from last month’s welterweight loss to the Stockton slugger, one that derailed his considerable hype train — but not his featherweight strap — at UFC 196. While he’s busy in the five-round headliner, Jose Aldo will battle Frankie Edgar for the interim title.
