Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Anderson Silva underwent successful gall bladder surgery last Wednesday (May 10, 2016), after being forced to withdraw from the recent UFC 198 pay-per-view (PPV) fight card in Brazil.
More details on that turn of events right here.
“The Spider” was expected to throw hands with 185-pound striker and The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 finalist Uriah Hall, but will not be able to compete until July. “Prime Time” remained off the UFC 198 line up and may get another crack at Silva at UFC 200.
The 41-year-old Brazilian, who came up short against Michael Bisping last February, has not seen the win column since beating the brakes off Stephan Bonnar back in 2012.
