Colby Covington isn’t the only one getting some presidential love, as current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, is also mingling with the higher-ups.
No, the champ didn’t visit Donald Trump’s White house, instead, Croatian president, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic stopped by the City of Cleveland, Ohio and paid Stipe a visit. He also held some pads for her as evidenced by the pictures he posted on Twitter.
Of course, Miocic’s parents hail from Croatia, though Stipe was born and raised in “The Land.” That said, Stipe is very proud of his heritage and is deeply embedded in its roots.
It was recently announced that Stipe would once again face Daniel Cormier in a trilogy fight that could go down as early as the end of this year at UFC 245. Stipe defeat Cormier via knockout at UFC 241 a few months back, getting some much-desired revenge after “DC” did the same to him last year.
Furthermore, Cormier has already proclaimed this to be the final fight of his MMA career, which means even if Stipe loses, he could be in line for yet another championship fight, as he will be a front-runner to fight for the vacant strap once “DC” rides off into the sunset.
