Back to the drawing board!
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is (finally) back in the gym after last November’s crushing knockout loss to Holly Holm, which took place in the UFC 193 pay-per-view (PPV) main event in Australia.
Joining her for some light sparring is head coach Edmond Tarverdyan, who has plenty of free time on his hands because of this.
“Rowdy” was forced to ride the pine after sustaining serious mouth injuries against “The Preacher’s Daughter” (more on that here), but judging by the photo gallery from TMZ Sports (see it here), she looks right as rain throwing mitts at Glendale Fighting Club.
The gym her coach may no longer own.
That said, don’t expect to see the Olympian back inside the cage until later this year, thanks to various film and television projects (like this one). In her absence, Holm will defend the 135-pound title against longtime contender (and Rousey nemesis) Miesha Tate.
