Pic: UFC champ Daniel Cormier honored by California State Assembly for service to San Jose and beyond

Wanna thank the California State Assembly for having me and my family and friends over today. And a special thanks to assembly member Campos from San jose. Today I received an award for my service to my city. I truly believe that we are…

You may not care for his antics while promoting a fight, but there’s no denying Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder Daniel Cormier is a swell guy outside the hurt business.

So much so, that “DC” was honored by California State Assembly on Tuesday (Jan. 19, 2016) for his service to the city of San Jose and beyond. Specifically, his commitment to kids as both a coach and mentor.

And his little ones are just too cute for words.

Naturally, fans of Jon Jones will have nothing but negative things to say about the Olympian, who is expected to face “Bones” later this year. And the winner of that fight is likely to throw down against the winner of Anthony Johnson vs. Ryan Bader, who collide at UFC on FOX 18 later this month.
