Pic: UFC strawweight Paige VanZant joins Season 22 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’

And she joins some pretty good company.

Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans waiting for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight Paige VanZant to make her Octagon return are going to have to wait just a little bit longer, as “12 Gauge” recently joined Season 22 of “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC.

Episode one premieres March 21 at 8 p.m. ET.

Joining VanZant will be Von Miller, Antonio Brown, Doug Flutie, Mischa Barton, Nyle DiMarco, Kim Fields, Marla Maples, Wanya Morris, Geraldo Rivera, Jodie Sweetin, and Ginger Zee. I will be secretly rooting for Fields since I had a crush on “Tootie” in middle school.

VanZant hasn’t been seen since her lopsided submission loss to Rose Namajunas at UFC Fight Night 80 back in December, but appears to be following in the footsteps on Ronda Rousey and rebuilding her image outside of the Octagon before returning.

“12 Gauge” has a pretty good shot at winning, too, considering she has a background in dancing.

And mops.
