Dustin Poirier believes he would KO Nate Diaz.
Dustin Poirier wasn’t too happy with Nate Diaz boasting that he had kicked the fight game back into gear in his ‘BMF’ title bout against Jorge Masvidal in 2019.
‘The Diamond’ responded to Diaz via Twitter, telling the Stockton local to stop desperately looking for credit on social media.

“Stop it Nathan,” Poirier wrote on Sunday morning.
Poirier then followed up with a Tweet claiming that he would KO Diaz if the UFC were to re-book their lightweight matchup from 2018, when Poirier pulled out of the UFC 230 co-main event due to injury.

“I see me knocking him out,” Poirier posted.
Poirier hasn’t fought his title loss to reigning and undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242, which saw the Louisianan succumb to a rear-naked choke submission in the third round. Poirier recently underwent successful hip surgery and is aiming for an April return, where he hopes to fight Justin Gaethje, or perhaps Nate Diaz, in the UFC 249 co-main event.
UFC 249 will feature a headlining lightweight title bout between Khabib and Tony Ferguson and is expected to take place on April 18 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
