Dustin Poirier receives arguably the most coveted item in UFC history, Jake Paul’s custom Conor McGregor chain.
Dustin Poirier is adding more diamonds to his collection in the aftermath of his fight with Conor McGregor at UFC 264 (watch highlights).
Poirier (28-6) was gifted Jake Paul’s “Sleepy McGregor” chain — worth reportedly $100,000 — after earning a first-round TKO over McGregor (22-6) at UFC 264, which took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sat., July 10.
“Got the sleepy mac chain today from Jake Paul,” Poirier captioned a photo of himself holding the necklace on Twitter. “I will be auctioning it off soon for The Good Fight Foundation to do something big in Lafayette!!”
Paul revealed at Tuesday’s Showtime kick-off press conference for his professional boxing match against Tyron Woodley that Poirier would be auctioning off the chain for charity. The chain prominetly displays a figurine of McGregor in the moments after he was TKO’ed by Poirier at UFC 257 on Jan. 23.
Paul will face Woodley in the latter’s professional boxing debut taking place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sun., Aug. 29, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, streaming online via Showtime pay-per-view (PPV).
