Santiago Ponzinibbio wants a step up in competition following his win over Nordine Taleb at UFC Halifax.

Santiago Ponzinibbio wants no breaks following his unanimous decision win against Nordine Taleb at UFC Halifax. The victory puts the TUF Brazil 2 veteran on a four-fight win streak at welterweight and as he revealed to MMA Junkie, Ponzinibbio feels he’s ready for the biggest names the division has to offer.

“I am ready for everything and everyone at 170 pounds in the world. My striking is very good. I have a good technique, good conditioning. My grappling and my wrestling is every day better. Really, I feel like I am ready for the top 10 in this division. I want to keep going up, up in this division.”

In fact, the Argentinian even has some notable names in his mind he believes would pose good challenges for him, such as Donald Cerrone and Neil Magny.

“Put me in the top 10. Every one of the guys in the top 10. I need work. I am ready for the world. I am healthy. The next two, three months put me in there with a top-10 guy. Neil Magny is a good guy. He’s a good name. Donald Cerrone, Matt Brown. Everyone in the top 10. Give it to me. I am ready.”

Apart from the Taleb win, Ponzinibbio also defeated Zak Cummings, Court McGee and Andreas Stahl in his last outings. His last loss was a TKO defeat to Lorenz Larkin back in June 2015.
