Preview! ‘Cowboy’ Looks To Wrangle ‘The Kid’ In Austin

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will send longtime veteran Donald Cerrone into battle against welterweight fan favorite Yancy Medeiros in this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 126 mixed martial arts (MMA) main event on FOX Sports 1, going down tonight (Feb. 18, 2018) inside Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

Cerrone (32-10, 1 NC) was expected to return to the lightweight division — and reduce his fight frequency — after dropping three straight fights in which he was finished twice. “Cowboy” was last seen getting turned inside out by Darren Till at UFC Gdansk.

Medeiros (15-4, 1 NC), meanwhile, captured three in a row — all finishes — to maintain his place in the official UFC rankings (see them here). “The Kid” is fresh off a third-round stoppage over Alex Oliveira at UFC 218.
