I know a lot of mixed martial arts (MMA) fans are rolling their eyes over the UFC Fight Night 145 light heavyweight main event, which takes place this Sat. (Feb. 23, 2019) inside O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic, but we also have to play fair with the promotion.

Jan Blachowicz (23-7) is ranked No. 4 at 205 pounds, just two spots above Thiago Santos (20-6) at No. 6. “Marreta” won seven of his last eight. Ranked above Blachowicz are Anthony Smith, Alexander Gustafsson, and Daniel Cormier, so you can see how close both UFC headliners are to securing a late 2019 title shot.

It all starts with a win this weekend on ESPN+.

To help us break down the strengths and weaknesses of both fighters, former UFC welterweight title contender, Dan Hardy, gives an exemplary breakdown of the headlining affair, alongside the imitable John Gooden.
