Nate Diaz will (finally) make his return to the Octagon for a welterweight clash opposite former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis in the UFC 241 pay-per-view (PPV) co-main event TONIGHT (Sat., Aug. 17, 2019) from inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Diaz (19-11) will be making his first Octagon appearance since losing a majority decision to Conor McGregor back in late 2016. The Stockton native was previously scheduled to fight Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 before an injury to “The Diamond” canceled those plans.
Pettis (22-8) is coming off a sensational knockout victory over two-time title challenger Stephen “Wondeboy” Thompson back in March. “Showtime” hasn’t been that consistent over the past few years, but he remains one of the best strikers in MMA today.
