Longtime featherweight contender Chan Sung Jung, affectionately known as “The Korean Zombie,” will look to keep his place in the featherweight Top 5 when he collides with No. 8-ranked Dan Ige in the UFC Vegas 29 main event TONIGHT (Sat., June 19, 2021) inside APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jung (16-6), who turned 34 back in March, watched his two-fight win streak go up in smoke at the hands of Brian Ortega, who buried “The Korean Zombie” back in Oct. 2020, stealing a title shot — as well as a TUF 29 coaching gig — along the way.
As for the 29 year-old Ige (15-3), he rebounded from a disappointing loss to Calvin Kattar at UFC on ESPN 13 by smashing Gavin Tucker back in March. “Dynamite” is 7-1 over the last three years and now has a chance to jump into title contention with a victory over Jung.
