Terence Crawford was too much for Amir Khan, forcing the Brit’s trainer Virgil Hunter to throw in the towel after a low blow in the sixth round.
Terence Crawford proved to be too much for Amir Khan, but it was a low blow that forced Khan’s head coach Virgil Hunter to throw in the towel in the sixth round and Crawford walked away with the TKO victory.
Crawford was the heavy favourite coming into the fight with Khan, and for the right reasons as ‘Bud’ dominated the early rounds. Dropping Khan in the first round, Crawford was on cruise control for the fight and was rarely troubled by anything Khan offered. In the sixth round, a low blow from Crawford caused a halt to the fight. Khan’s trainer Hunter then decided to throw in the towel and the fight was stopped.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Crawford’s victory over Khan.

#CrawdfordKhan going as expected. His power is still real strong up a weight. Bud is too good everywhere. Spence is the only guy that can actually box with him and match his speed. Bud is just on a level by himself. Spence will lose to Bud also.
