Canelo Alvarez’s success in the early rounds meant he won a unanimous decision over Daniel Jacobs.
Despite finding success late on in the fight, Daniel Jacobs was outclassed by Saul Alvarez on the night as Canelo proved to be too much for the New Yorker winning a unanimous decision (115-113, 115-113, 116-112).
Early on in the fight it was all Canelo. The Mexican landed the harder shots throughout the fight and also showed some incredible defense, making Jacobs miss on lots of his punches with his impressive footwork and head movement. However in the last few rounds Jacobs started to find his rhythm and landed some good punches, but it was ultimately too late and Canelo walked away with the decision win.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Canelo’s win over Jacobs.
Let go Danny ????
