Pudzianowski to meet fellow strongman at KSW 39 stadium show

WSM record holder Mariusz Pudzianowski will face a fellow strongman at the KSW Colosseum show.

World’s Strongest Man record holder Mariusz Pudzianowski will meet a fellow strongman in one of the headlining bouts of the KSW 39 stadium show in May.

According to an official press release from the promotion, Pudzianowski will challenge his long-time foe Tyberiusz Kowalczyk in the co-main event slot. The38-year-old Kowalczyk is undefeated in his short career with a 3-0 record. The heavyweight needed a combined four minutes to accumulate that undefeated record and vows to finish Pudzian is similarly rapid fashion.

Dubbed ‘KSW Coliseum,’ a minimum of 60,000 seats will be made available for the show, though KSW is yet to establish the capacity for the show. The event will be headlined by KSW superstar Mamed Khalidov in a catchweight bout against welterweight champion Borys Mańkowski, the return of ‘Popek Monster,’ as well as the MMA debut of Polish wrestling Olympic medalist Damian Janikowski.

Warsaw’s National Stadium is the biggest arena in Eastern Europe, the home stadium of the Polish national football team and the host of various music concerts and sporting events. Selling out this massive stadium would mean KSW will have to sell a minimum of 40,000 more tickets than their second biggest show.
