Tapout foundersFormer Tapout founders Dan “Punkass” Caldwell and Tim “SkySkrape” Katz have admitted to TMZ, through their lawyer, that they distributed “a ‘very small amount’ of Charles “Mask” Lewis’ cremated remains to his close friends … and they stand by their actions.”

Both are part of a lawsuit filed by Lewis’ sister Carla, who claims she is the one who has the legal rights to her brothers ashes, and is suing Tapout for unspecified damages, citing “overwhelming and severe emotional distress.

Both Caldwell and Katz insist that their friend was estranged from his sister, and her lawsuit is based on personal financial gain rather than emotional damage. They have offered to return “Mask’s” urn, along with the rest of his remains to his estate so his children can eventually inherit their father’s remains.
