Michelle Waterson appears to be ready for her Karolina Kowalkiewicz strawweight showdown at the upcoming UFC on ESPN 2: “Barboza vs. Gaethje” mixed martial arts (MMA) event, set to go down this Sat. (March 30, 2019) inside Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Clearly the “Karate Hottie” hasn’t been skipping leg day.

Waterson (16-6) is coming off a dominant unanimous decision win over Felice Herrig at UFC 229 last October, her second straight victory after taking out Cortney Casey seven months prior. The former Invicta FC champ has been working hard to land her first-ever UFC title shot and a win over the “Polish Princess” would certainly go a long way in accomplishing that goal.

Kowalkiewicz (12-3), meanwhile, recently saw her two-fight win streak go up in smoke at the hands of Brazilian bulldog Jessica Andrade, who now moves on to fight Rose Namajunas for the division strap this summer. It should be noted that Kowalkiewicz holds a decision win over “Thug Rose” from their UFC 201 fight back in summer 2016.

Let’s just hope for her sake, Waterson is unable to secure a triangle choke.
