Quinton Jackson will find out on Tuesday whether he’ll be free to fight at UFC 186.

A New Jersey judge decided Thursday that she will announce on April 7 whether she will grant Bellator MMA a preliminary injuction against Quinton Jackson, sources close to the case informed MMAFighting.com. The decision is expected to come at 10 a.m. ET Tuesday morning.

In short, Bellator is trying to stop Jackson from competing at UFC 186 on April 25, claiming he breached their contract. Jackson is claiming the terms of their contract were not met, most notably that Bellator did not disclose their pay-per-view numbers in an adequate amount of time, which led to him re-signing with the UFC in December.

According to sources, Team Jackson felt confident that Jackson would be cleared to fight Fabio Maldonado later this month in Montreal following Thursday’s hearing in a New Jersey court room. Jackson is currently training for the fight in California.
