Just two days after Conor McGregor officially became the No. 1 contender to Jose Aldo’s 145-pound title after a win over Dennis Siver at Fight Night Boston, “The Notorious” made a jump in the latest release of the official UFC rankings.
McGregor moves up to No. 4 this week, passing Cub Swanson to place him right behind Chad Mendes (No. 1), Frankie Edgar (No. 2) and Ricardo Lamas (No. 3).
With the loss, Siver drops out of the top 10 down to No. 12, allowing Jeremy Stephens and Clay Guida to each move up a spot.
