Rashid Magomedov will put his 9-fight win streak at risk on May 31, when he takes on Brazilian lightweight Rodrigo Damm in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at the TUF Brazil 3 Finale card.

Damm announced the bout through his PR team on Wednesday.

“It’s going to be a war,” Damm stated in a release. “He’s a tough opponent and is coming off good wins, and that’s cool, because it means that it’s going to be a good fight for the MMA fans. I’m already back to intense training, but I’ll get together with my coaches at X-Gym in Rio de Janeiro to start my camp.

“I can guarantee you that you’ll see a different Damm, ready to fight anywhere.”

Damm (12-6) returns to the Octagon following back-to-back decision victories over Mizuto Hirota and Ivan Jorge, while Magomedov looks to secure his second UFC win after defeating Tony Martin at UFC 169.

“(His win streak) will end, like it happened to ‘Batman’ (Jorge),” Damm said. “I’m back to my original weight class with a goal: put my name among the best. He will suffer another loss on May 31. I respect him a lot, as I do with every opponent. I know the Russian will be train a lot, but I will be ready.”

TUF Brazil 3 Finale card takes place at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and will be headlined by Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva.
