Reebok payouts for UFC Fight Night 116: ‘Rockhold vs Branch’ totals $92,500

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to action for UFC Fight Night 116: “Rockhold vs Branch,” which went down last night (Sat., Sept. 16, 2017) inside PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now it’s time to see who went home with the biggest Reebok sponsorship pie.

Luke Rockhold was the biggest sponsorship earner of the night, as he earned an event high $10,000 for his win over David Branch, who took home $5,000 from the sports apparel giant.

Uriah Hall also scored $10,000 from Reebok, with the rest of the combatants taking home between $2,500 and $5,000 a piece.

Let’s see how all of the payouts break down courtesy of MMA Junkie:

Luke Rockhold: $10,000 def. David Branch: $5,000

Mike Perry: $2,500 def. Alex Reyes: $2,500

Anthony Smith: $5,000 def. Hector Lombard: $5,000

Gregor Gillespie: $2,500 def. Jason Gonzalez: $2,500

Kamaru Usman: $5,000 def. Sergio Moraes: $5,000

Justin Ledet: $2,500 def. Zu Anyanwu: $2,500

Olivier Aubin-Mercier: $5,000 def. Tony Martin: $5,000

Daniel Spitz: $2,500 def. Anthony Hamilton: $5,000

Uriah Hall: $10,000 def. Krzysztof Jotko: $5,000

Gilbert Burns: $5,000 def. Jason Saggo: $5,000

TOTAL: $$92,500

According to the revamped payout structure (see it), the more fights you have combined with UFC and the now-defunct World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Strikeforce promotions, the more coin you have for your combat sports piggy bank.

And the less fights you have under the ZUFFA banner… well, the less you get. If you have a problem with the structure, take it up with UFC, not Reebok.

According to the report, fighters will also receive royalty and payments up to 20-30 percent of any UFC-related merchandise sold that bears his or her likeness. That’s a great way for the Internet “morons” to help the cause.
