Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, will defend his 185-pound title against brick-fisted Cuban powerhouse, Yoel Romero, in the upcoming UFC 248 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, scheduled for Sat., March 7, 2020 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) will put veteran referee Dan Miragliotta inside the Octagon alongside “Last Stylebender” and “Soldier of God,” according to MMA Fighting, while Sal D’Amato, Chris Lee, and Ron McCarthy judge the action from cageside.

Referees will bank $1,900 apiece, while the judges take home $1,600 each.

In the UFC 248 five-round co-main event, Keith Peterson will officiate the strawweight title fight between reigning 115-pound champion, Weili Zhang, and former division titleholder, Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Handling the scorecards — assuming they’ll be needed — will be Mike Bell, Derek Cleary, and Eric Colon.
