Some unfortunate news is coming out of Moscow, Russia, as RT is reporting that Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father, Abdulmanap, has once again fallen into a coma and is on life support after his health took a turn for the worse.

Last week, Abdulmanap was placed in a medically-induced coma as a result of his ongoing battle with pneumonia. A few days later, he awoke from his coma but was reportedly unable to speak despite showing some signs of improvement.

Abdulmanap was flown from Dagestan to a hospital in Russia and underwent heart surgery after his health worsened following an initial battle with pneumonia that started in late April.

Just yesterday (Mon., May 18), Khabib took to social media to confirm that his father was in “bad condition” and that his recent surgery was a direct result of his battle with COVID-19. The most recent report stated that the elder Nurmagomedov had also suffered a stroke, which has been confirmed as another side effect of the virus.

Khabib urged people in his native land to adhere to social distancing and quarantine orders to help slow down the spread of COVID-19, which is currently plaguing the entire world. “The Eagle” also recently revealed that he has already lost several close relatives to the virus.
