Dillon Danis will not be in Conor McGregor’s corner for UFC 246.
You’re barred.
That’s right, longtime friend, teammate and cornerman of Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, will not be allowed anywhere near ‘The Notorious’s’ corner for the Irishman’s return fight against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, per Yahoo Sports! Kevin Iole.
Danis is barred due to his involvement in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena which saw Khabib Nurmagomedov leap over the Octagon fence and attack Danis after the SBG Ireland product reportedly hurled abuse at Khabib from cageside. The 26-year-old was fined $7,500 by the Nevada State Athletic Commission but has yet to pay the full amount. Khabib, who submitted McGregor in the fourth round of the UFC 229 main event, was fined $500,000 and suspended for nine months.
According to Bob Bennett, @dillondanis owes state of Nevada, NOT the athletic commission, $7,500 from his punishment in the #McGregorKhabib brawl at #UFC229. He will not be allowed to work @TheNotoriousMMA‘s corner at #UFC246 until he pays the fine.
