Tyson Fury could end up back in the WWE at their biggest event of the year, but he has to get through Deontay Wilder first.
Tyson Fury has been in the news a lot lately. The former heavyweight boxing champion has a rematch set up with Deontay Wilder in February, and has dabbled in both MMA training and pro wrestling of late. The WWE paid him a ton of money for a match in Saudi Arabia, and they’re apparently interested in bringing him back for their biggest show of the year.
If he can pick up a win in the ring, that is.
Pro wrestling website WrestleVotes is reporting that a victory over Wilder will likely get him a WrestleMania match:
Lots of speculation regarding Tyson Fury & WrestleMania. Source said his fight at MGM Grand vs. Deontay Wilder on February 22 is crucial to him appearing in Tampa. If Wilder wins, Vince isn’t throwing $$ at a guy who just lost on PPV. So to a degree, the ball is in Fury’s court.

Fury and Wilder went to a controversial draw in their first bout, with Fury seemingly rising from the dead after getting dropped in the final round to get to the cards. The rematch date was in question after Fury suffered a bad cut in his last bout with Otto Wallin, but is pressing forward on the expected date after all.
If Fury can win and does do a match at WrestleMania, it seems like a natural fit to have him rematch Braun Strowman. He picked up a (scripted) countout win over Strowman at Crown Jewel, and there’s a ready-made storyline without having to pay Fury for a ton of appearances beforehand.
Fury-Wilder 2 will go down at the MGM Garden Arena on February 22nd. WrestleMania 36 takes place in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on April 5th.
